Hyperglycemic crisis is a metabolic emergency associated with uncontrolled diabetes mellitus that may result in significant morbidity or death.

Cushing syndrome

Rare disorder resulting from prolonged exposure to excess glucocorticoids.

Adrenal insufficiency (AI)

Inadequate ­glucocorticoid production owing to destruction of the adrenal cortex or lack of adrenocorticotropic hormone stimulation.

Diabetes insipidus (DI)

Polyuria–polydipsia syndrome characterized by hypotonic polyuria (excessive urination) and compensatory polydipsia (excessive drinking of water).
